Hotel Gives Itself 10 Stars On Booking.com – How Did They Do That?
I had booked this hotel via booking.com. I was a bit surprised that almost all of their reviews were 10 stars with no commentary. When I was there, I used their WiFi, and used the booking app via it. Shortly after leaving, booking.com sends me an email "Your review is online now", which is 10 stars with no commentary, which I didn't make. So they somehow did that. I know three people who work with internet security, and they all aren't sure how they did that. "Malware or man-in-the-middle." I'd like to know, so I know which infrastructure to secure.
I'm always very careful, and don't click on suspicious links. I don't think I did anything out of the ordinary with regards to clicking on stuff, and when I install apps I always make sure they are the legitimate ones.
