How Facebook cloned accounts are created?
I noticed a multiple incarnations of same fake ad on Facebook, that had tens of legitimatelly looking comments. All commenters had valid lithuanian names (ad is also in lithuanian), multiple profile pictures, up to ten posts of going back to 2020. Some of the posts even have a few likes. Googling pictures or names does did not reveal a real person profile. This seems too elaborate for the sake of one fake ad campaign, so it got me thinking.
- Is there a way to create these accounts with few years of history? Or were they created way in advance and then sold as a "comment on your post" service?
- Is content cloned from existing Facebook accounts?
