Airodump-ng not capturing handshake, I have tried almost everything [closed]
I am kind of new to pentesting but am learning first. My friend has allowed me to try to hack his WPA2 wifi network, and I use the aircrack-ng suite for this.
However, I know that my card is fine, and I know what I am doing because I have captured many wpa handshakes on many networks before with the same card.
I have tried many things and these things are NOT the problem: monitor mode, kill network mngrs, power of router and station, channel, band, deauth attack. I CAN deauth this network as well.
I have done research and I just really don't know why this isn’t working. I have let airodump and besside run for ages, and still no handshake.
It is just bothering me because I like puzzles and challenges.
