Getting IP Through Instagram
So, a couple of weeks ago I got into an argument on a political post in an IG comment section. not very mature, I know. The person I've been arguing with sent me my IP address, possibly as an attempt to scare me. I'm currently going through a cybersecurity course, but we're currently only in the very fundamental steps of understanding netwotrks, systems, etc. I wanted to ask, given a situation in which the person does not know my email, phone number, or any other credentials except my instagram username, and without him sending me anything, how on god's good earth did he get my IP?
