Is this a bug or malware? What to do to get rid of it? [closed]
A friend of mine has a Xiaomi redmi 12 plus (MIUI 14.0.3) got non-stop notifications like the one attached
Translated as: "(device) will appear on devices linked with (gmail account)"

Whenever they tried to click somewhere else in the screen (the image occupied half the screen), the "notification" went away only to come back with a different name of device. They tried turning off bluetooth, it kept happening. They went into airplane mode, same. Restarting the mobile did nothing either. Moving away from the location where it started happening did not help either.
By now they have factory resetted the phone, and all mail and bank accounts changed, but since we have been unable to find any information on what this could be or how severe the vulnerability it might have been.
Not being able to find any indication online of what this could have affected is proving a bit stressful so I thought asking for help. If this is not the best place but someone knows of a better one, it'd be really helpful.
